Howarth United Methodist Church, located at 550 E. The church traces its roots to 1859, when John Howarth provided land for a Greek Revival building that served both as a place of worship and an Oakland County school. Today, the congregation gathers on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. to worship together, informed and transformed by Jesus Christ, and empowered to be God's ambassadors to their city and beyond.
