About Basilica Of St Mary
The Basilica of St. Mary is an Antiochian Orthodox parish located in Livonia, Michigan, with roots extending back to 1972 when Fr. George Shalhoub was ordained and assigned to establish the community. The parish moved into its first dedicated church building in 1977 and expanded with a cultural center in 1991 before completing its permanent basilica in 2002. The church serves the entire community from infants through seniors, offering a comprehensive range of ministries designed to help parishioners deepen their Orthodox Christian faith through worship, witness, service, and fellowship. Led by Fr. George Shalhoub and Fr.
