The church moved to its current three-acre site in 1961 and completed its sanctuary in 1962, featuring beautiful stained glass windows given as memorial gifts by parish families and in memory of author Ernest Hemingway. Emmanuel is explicitly welcoming to all visitors, with church leadership emphasizing that there will be no outcasts and that the convictions and hopes of all are honored.
