Churches in Coon Rapids, MN

For a first Sunday visit, plan with a little flexibility. Among churches with Sunday times shared, starts tend to cluster later in the morning: some begin between 10 and 11, and several begin at 11 or later, with only one starting in the 9–10 window. Contemporary worship is more common where style is noted, though traditional worship is also present. Families may want to look closely at churches that mention kids ministry, youth group, or small groups, since those programs appear at several congregations. Cross of Christ Lutheran Church & School may be especially relevant for families, as it serves children from preschool through eighth grade.

What stands out is the steady emphasis on welcome, discipleship, and practical faith. Coon Rapids Evangelical Free Church, Spirit of Grace Church, North Point Church, and Faith Lutheran Church all describe themselves in welcoming terms. Connections Church is community-focused, while Answer in Jesus Church highlights hope and love in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Several churches also point toward growth through teaching, ministry, small groups, youth group, and kids ministry.
