About Neighborhood Church
Neighborhood Church is an inclusive, Christ-centered faith community in Duluth, Minnesota, founded in 2015 by pastor Kris Sauter and his partner Nikki. The church welcomes all people—conventional Christians, skeptics, humanists, agnostics, and those of all backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities, and abilities—believing that belonging is core to human dignity. Grounded in liberation theology and anti-racism work, Neighborhood takes the Bible seriously but not literally, emphasizing wisdom over certainty and love over fear. The church gathers for Sunday services at 10 a.m. both in person and via Facebook Live, and operates the Neighborhood Good Fund to provide direct financial support to community members in urgent need.
