About Holy Anargyroi Sts. Kosmas and Damianos Orthodox Church
Holy Anargyroi Sts. Kosmas and Damianos Orthodox Church is a multi-ethnic parish of Orthodox Christians located in Rochester, Minnesota, serving the surrounding communities of southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. The parish traces its roots to 1947 when twenty-six Greek immigrants gathered to establish an Orthodox presence in the area, with the first Divine Liturgy celebrated in an AHEPA Hall downtown. The current church building, completed in 2004, reflects the community's growth and was intentionally named Holy Anargyroi in honor of Sts. Kosmas and Damianos, physicians and miracle workers who provided healing without payment—a fitting namesake for a church in Rochester, home to the Mayo Clinic. The parish maintains the ancient liturgical traditions of the Orthodox Church, rooted in Apostolic Succession, and welcomes visitors to experience worship that has remained consistent since the early Church. Fr. Nick Hubbard serves as the parish priest and is available to help those interested in learning more about the Orthodox faith and parish ministries.
