Brentwood Christian Church is a progressive, open and affirming congregation in the heart of the Ozarks that has been serving Springfield since its founding in 1960. As part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the church is committed to building community, justice, and love, welcoming people from all walks of life regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other factors. The church emphasizes that love, not doctrine, holds the congregation together and that faith should value both the mind and the heart. Sunday worship begins at 10:00 a.m., with additional midweek Evensong services held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. The church provides children's programming, youth Sunday Sparkhouse meetings, nursery care, and maintains full accessibility for those with mobility concerns across all entrances and facilities.
