Brentwood Christian Church is a progressive, open and affirming congregation located in the heart of Springfield, Missouri, founded in 1960. As part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) tradition, the church is deeply committed to building community, pursuing justice, and embodying love in the spirit of Christ. The congregation celebrates the full humanity and dignity of all people, including LGBTQ+ individuals, and stands in solidarity with those facing oppression due to economic status, race, gender, or any other reason. Dress Code: Come as you are and dress as you'd like; Brentwood welcomes people from all different walks of life with varying styles of dress. Service Format: Sunday worship begins at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary with children's church options available after the children's message, plus a monthly Evensong service on the fourth Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. featuring a quiet, candlelit atmosphere. Visitor Tips: Visitor parking is reserved on the left upon entering the parking lot; the red-painted east doors provide sanctuary access, and the west entrance is fully ADA accessible; check-in is required for children in nursery and children's programs and is easiest to complete before the 10:00 a.m. service begins.
