About St Matthew's Catholic Church
St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Sidney, Montana has served the local Catholic community since 1917, originally dedicated to St. Philomena before being rededicated to St. Matthew in 1962 as the parish grew. The church began as a mission served by traveling priests and has since developed into the mother church overseeing four additional missions throughout Richland County. Under the pastoral leadership of Fr. Jim O'Neil, St. Matthew's describes itself as a welcoming Catholic community called to live out Christ's message in love and service to all people.
