About Rye Congregational Church
Rye Congregational Church has been a cornerstone of the community since 1726, sitting on Meeting House Hill in the heart of Rye, New Hampshire. The church has survived fire and reconstruction, most recently reopening on Easter Sunday 1961 after being destroyed by fire in 1959. Under the leadership of Senior Pastor Jonathan D. Conant, who joined in January 2023, the church welcomes visitors to Sunday worship at 10 AM, where music led by Choir Director Mindy McMahon and Organist Suzanne Sheppard plays an essential role in the service. The congregation emphasizes faith-centered ministry and offers numerous volunteer opportunities in music, fellowship, Christian education, and community outreach through missions and service initiatives. Visitors are invited to join the church community for worship and refreshments in a welcoming New England setting minutes from Portsmouth and the Seacoast.
