About St. George's Church
St. George's Church is part of the Russian Orthodox parish of St. Alexander Nevsky, established in 1936 with the blessing of Archbishop Vitaly and rooted in the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. Located at 57 East 3rd Street in Howell, New Jersey, St. George's merged with the larger St. Alexander Nevsky parish in 2014 and continues to serve the community with at least one service per month. The parish maintains a rich Orthodox heritage, offering bilingual services in Church Slavonic and English, and operates a parish school on Saturdays that educates children in Orthodox faith, Russian language, literature, history, and culture.
