About Our Lady of Mt Carmel Parish Center
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish is a Catholic community in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, with a rich history dating back to 1909 when it was established as a mission to serve the area's growing Catholic population. The parish is committed to helping parishioners know, love, and serve God through the Gospel message of Jesus Christ in an environment where all are valued and can grow spiritually. The parish operates multiple locations including the church at 149 Copeland Avenue, the rectory at 197 Kingsland Avenue, and the parish center at 146 Copeland Avenue, which was completed in 1971 and serves as a hub for religious education, community gatherings, and worship. Under the leadership of Reverend Ernest G. Rush, the parish offers an active faith community with regular Mass celebrations, religious education programs, and various parish societies and ministries that strengthen the bonds of the congregation.

Dress Code: Modest, respectful attire typical of Catholic worship is expected. Service Format: Saturday vigil Mass at 4:30pm, Sunday Masses at 8:30am, 10:30am, and 12:00pm, with weekday masses at 8:30am on weekdays and Saturday mornings.
