About Unitarian Church Of Montclair
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair, founded in 1897 by a group of women seeking liberal religious education, welcomes visitors of all backgrounds, beliefs, and identities into its diverse and justice-centered community. Under the leadership of Co-Ministers Rev. Anya and Rev. Scott Sammler-Michael, the congregation emphasizes spiritual growth, social justice work addressing racism and systemic oppression, and the creation of a beloved community grounded in compassion and love. Weekly Sunday worship services explore themes of compassion, justice, and belonging, featuring music, readings, and sermons designed to nurture the soul and inspire hope. The congregation offers religious education for children, covenant groups for deeper connection, and numerous opportunities to engage in both spiritual development and community service. Visitors are encouraged to bring their full selves to a community that honors pluralism, equity, and the interdependent web of all existence.

Service Format: Services begin at 10:00 AM on Sundays with gathering hymns, music, welcome and greetings, a children's story, offering, prayer and meditation, readings, anthem, sermon, closing hymn, and benediction.
