Christ Church Newton is the Episcopal Church in the heart of Sussex County, located just off the square in downtown Newton. Chartered by royal charter on August 15, 1774, it is the oldest church in Newton and the second oldest in the Diocese of Newark, with roots tracing back to 1769. The church is renowned for its beautiful architecture, breathtaking music program, and lively children's activities, alongside strong community outreach. The congregation represents a diverse blend of people from various political beliefs, gender identities, ethnic groups, and socioeconomic backgrounds working together as Christ's presence in the community.
