Churches in Ocean City, NJ

For a first Sunday visit, expect many churches with known schedules to begin in the 9–10 AM window, while a smaller share gathers later in the morning. Landmark Church is one place that gives a clear rhythm, with Sunday worship and teaching at 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM, plus a Wednesday evening gathering at 6:30 PM. Families may find several congregations with kids ministry, and youth group is also fairly common. Small groups appear less often, so if that matters to you, it is worth asking directly when you visit. Worship style varies, but traditional services are especially common, with some contemporary choices available too.

What stands out is the combination of long-rooted gathering places and clearly stated ministry identities. The Ocean City Tabernacle tradition reaches back to 1879, while Cornerstone Ministries describes itself as Bible-based and serving the area since 1996. Churches here often present themselves around welcome, gospel-centered teaching, Catholic parish life, Reformed conviction, or non-denominational worship, giving visitors several distinct pathways into Christian community.
