Churches in Capitan, NM

Because few churches share Sunday service times, it is wise to confirm the schedule before you go, especially if you are choosing between Baptist, Methodist, Nazarene, or Church of Christ congregations. If you are visiting with children or teens, ask ahead about ministries for your family; kids ministry and youth group are present, but not across every church. Capitan United Methodist Church specifically invites people to Sunday morning worship and fellowship, which may be helpful if you want a first visit that includes time to meet people. Trinity Southern Baptist Church and Canaan Trail Baptist Church are good places to ask about Baptist ministry and worship.

What stands out is the simple, welcoming tone shared by several congregations. Trinity Southern Baptist Church speaks of a Gospel-centered community, Capitan United Methodist Church emphasizes Christian fellowship, and Capitan Church of Christ describes itself as warm and welcoming. The mix is not broad, but it gives visitors a clear set of choices among Baptist, Methodist, Nazarene, and Church of Christ traditions.
