Founded in 1961, the congregation has grown from its humble beginnings in the Carlsbad Women's Club to a established faith community with a sanctuary, fellowship hall, and education wing. The church is deeply engaged in local ministry, having been instrumental in founding the Carlsbad Teri Able Community Kitchen and the Carlsbad Transitional Housing & Homeless Shelter. Members participate actively in community service through initiatives like an annual pumpkin patch fundraiser that supports numerous local charitable organizations, tax aide services, and Stephen Ministry caregiving.
