About St Elias the Prophet
St. Elias the Prophet Greek Orthodox Church in Santa Fe, New Mexico is the highest-altitude Greek Orthodox Church in the United States, situated at 7,090 feet above sea level in the Eldorado community approximately 10 miles southeast of Santa Fe. Established as a mission parish in 1990, the church features Byzantine-style architecture with a distinctive octagonal dome and hosts services conducted in multiple languages including Greek, English, Spanish, Arabic, Slavonic, and Romanian. The parish welcomes visitors to join Sunday Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m., followed by a fellowship hour in the parish hall, and invites the community to experience the Orthodox Christian tradition rooted in apostolic faith and practice.
