The Hellenic Cultural Center in Astoria, New York, serves as both a spiritual and cultural hub for the Greek Orthodox community. Established in 1985 through the dedication of Archbishop Iakovos and community members, the center houses a chapel dedicated to St. Kosmas on its ground floor, where Divine Liturgy is celebrated on most Wednesdays throughout the year. The chapel welcomes visitors for private prayer and worship Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Beyond its spiritual mission, the center promotes and preserves Hellenic cultural heritage by hosting musical and theatrical presentations, lectures, art exhibits, and community activities.
