About St Stephens Orthodox Church
St. Stephen's Orthodox Church, located in Franklin Square, New York, is part of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, a tradition founded by the Apostle Thomas in AD 52. Established in 1986 with just 16 families, the parish has grown to over 60 families and moved to its current location at 858 Roosevelt Street in January 2014. The church celebrates the Holy Qurbana (Divine Liturgy) and welcomes visitors to participate in worship and the rich sacramental life of the Orthodox tradition. As part of the Northeast American Diocese under His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, St. Stephen's serves the Long Island community with pastoral care and spiritual formation. The parish invites all to experience Orthodox worship and join in celebrating the apostolic faith.
