About St Michael's Orthodox Church
St. Michael’s Orthodox Church is an English-speaking parish of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America in Geneva. The parish’s formal organization began in 1912, and it was incorporated in 1915. St. Michael’s is identified by the parish as the 22nd of the 30 parishes founded by Bishop Raphael Hawaweeny, St. Raphael of Brooklyn. Its first permanent pastor was Fr. Daniel A. George, and the current church building was consecrated on November 26, 1961. Worship follows the traditional Orthodox pattern in English, with Sunday Orthros, Bible Study, Divine Liturgy, and Saturday Great Vespers.
