About St Peter & Paul Orthodox Chr
Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church is an Orthodox Christian community serving Herkimer and the surrounding Mohawk Valley and southern Adirondack region. The parish welcomes all who wish to experience the Orthodox faith of the Apostles in an English-language setting, with occasional services incorporating Old-Slavonic, Ukrainian, and Greek elements. The church maintains a 2000-year tradition of apostolic Christianity, offering the Divine Liturgy on Sunday mornings along with Great Vespers on Saturday evenings, complemented by Sunday School and parish fellowship following worship. As part of the Orthodox Church in America and the Diocese of New York and New Jersey, the parish is rooted in the ancient liturgical and sacramental practices of the Eastern Orthodox tradition.
