About St Peter & Paul Orthodox Chr
Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church is an Orthodox Christian community serving Herkimer and the surrounding Mohawk Valley and southern Adirondack region. The parish welcomes all who wish to experience the Orthodox faith of the Apostles and maintains a rich liturgical tradition rooted in 2,000 years of Christian practice. Services are celebrated in English with occasional use of Old-Slavonic, Ukrainian, and Greek, making the ancient faith accessible to the local community. The church offers Sunday School and parish fellowship following the Divine Liturgy, fostering spiritual growth and community connection. As part of the Orthodox Church in America and the Diocese of New York and New Jersey, the parish maintains apostolic succession and doctrinal continuity with the early Church while serving contemporary believers in upstate New York.
