About St. John of Kronstadt Russian Orthodox Memorial Church
St. John of Kronstadt Russian Orthodox Memorial Church in Utica, New York, is the first church in the world dedicated to St. John of Kronstadt, who was glorified there and in three other churches simultaneously on November 1, 1964. The parish was built through donations from numerous parishioners and today comprises approximately one hundred members of various nationalities. Divine services are conducted in Church Slavonic and English every Saturday and Sunday, as well as on great feast days, with a dedicated choir of both adults and children. The church offers a Sunday school, a sisterhood, and a Memorial Fund dedicated to St. John of Kronstadt. Following each Sunday service, communal meals are held in the parish hall, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all attendees.
