About St Mary of Mt Carmel Blessed Inc
St. Mary of Mount Carmel / Blessed Sacrament Parish has served as a community of faith in Utica since 1896, rooted in the Catholic tradition and welcoming to all. The parish describes itself as a diverse, Eucharist-centered community committed to proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ through loving service. The parish offers faith formation programs for children and teens, including RCIA for adults and children seeking initiation into the faith. The church actively engages its community through seasonal celebrations, including an annual Italian Festival in July featuring traditional food, entertainment, and fundraising. Pastoral leadership is provided by Father Jim Cesta, with the Rev. Luis Olguin serving in residence, and the parish office is located at 648 Jay Street and open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
