About St. Nicholas' Greek Orthodox Church

St. Nicholas' Greek Orthodox Church in West Babylon, New York has served the Greek Orthodox community on Long Island since its founding in 1959. What began as a vision by two businessmen to bring Orthodox worship closer to local families has grown into a thriving parish with a dedicated congregation. The church relocated to its current home in West Babylon in 1989, where it continues to offer Divine Liturgy and foster spiritual growth through numerous ministries. The community provides comprehensive religious education through Sunday School, catechism classes, and Greek language instruction for children and adults. Beyond worship, St. Nicholas actively serves the broader community through its food pantry, youth organizations including GOYA and JOY & HOPE, and cultural celebrations such as the annual St. Nicholas Festival.
