Churches in Bath, NC

If you are planning a Sunday visit, check directly with the church before you go, since few churches share Sunday service times publicly. That is especially helpful if you are deciding between places such as Bath United Methodist Church, The River Church, Bath Christian Church, or Athens Chapel Church of Christ. Families should also ask ahead about children’s ministry, youth group, or small-group opportunities, since those programs are not commonly shared by churches here. A first visit will likely be easiest if you choose based on worship style and church identity: casual and contemporary at The River Church, Methodist at Bath United Methodist Church, Christian at Bath Christian Church, or Church of Christ at Athens Chapel Church of Christ.

What stands out in Bath is the personal scale of the church landscape. The churches named here do not all describe the same kind of experience: The River Church emphasizes casual worship and community connection, while Bath United Methodist Church speaks in terms of connecting God’s love with everyday life. Bath Christian Church’s welcome to all ages and backgrounds adds to that approachable feel.
