About Bethel A Baptist Church
Bethel A Baptist Church has served Brevard since July 14, 1919, when it was established as an offspring of Bethel Baptist Church, the first Black church in Brevard. The congregation is led by Reverend Dr. Pamela C. Holder, pastor since 2021. Its history includes local and global service, including involvement in the Jamaican Mission beginning in 1992 and sponsorship of the Mickey Park low-income housing project in 1971. Through Neighbors In Ministries, the church is connected with the Rise & Shine After-school Program, a nine-week Summer Camp, and the Damascus Road anti-racism program. The church also offers children’s ministry.
