About St Philips Episcopal Church
St. Philip’s Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal parish in Brevard, founded in 1883. Its original wooden church was destroyed by fire on Christmas Day in 1925, and the present hand-cut stone church was completed the following year. Designed by North Carolina architect Louis Humbert Asbury, the church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. St. Philip’s describes itself as a loving, inclusive community rooted in the worship of the Episcopal Church, with Sunday Holy Eucharist and adult faith formation as part of parish life.
