About Steele Creek Church
Steele Creek Church in Charlotte traces its present form to a 1995 merger of Jackson Park Baptist Church and Steele Creek Community Church. Pastor Kelvin Smith has served from the years before that merger, beginning ministry at Jackson Park Baptist Church in 1985. The church purchased land on Arrowood Road in 1999 and built the tent structures that remain there today. Its Arrowood campus also became home to a Latino campus in 2004 and an Arabic campus in 2006, reflecting the church’s multilingual life in Spanish, Arabic, and Mongolian. Steele Creek Church’s story includes campuses at Arrowood, Eastfield, and Trinity Chapel.
