Churches in Elizabethtown, NC

For a first visit, it is wise to check directly with the church before you go, since few churches share Sunday service times publicly. You will not see many details about kids ministry, youth group, or small groups, so families and newcomers may want to ask what is currently offered when they contact a congregation. If you are drawn to a Baptist setting, First Baptist Church or Baldwin Branch Baptist Church may be natural starting points. Those seeking an AME Zion congregation might look at Mt Zion AME Zion Church, Baker’s Creek Ame Zion Church, or Clark’s Chapel. Visitors interested in Pentecostal worship could consider Elizabethtown Pentecostal Holiness Church or United Pentecostal Church.

What stands out is the range of traditions represented without any one style defining the whole church scene. AME and Baptist congregations form a strong presence, while ARP, Pentecostal, Apostolic, Christian, and holiness churches add variety. Several churches are described simply and locally, such as Baldwin Branch Baptist Church serving the community and Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church as a community of faith.
