Churches in Ravenna, OH

For a first Sunday visit, most churches with shared schedules begin in the midmorning. A few start between 9 and 10 AM, and several begin between 10 and 11 AM, with one earlier option before 9 AM. If you are bringing children or teens, Ravenna has a good number of churches with kids ministry and youth group, so it is worth checking ahead for how each congregation welcomes families on Sunday morning. Small groups are available at a smaller set of churches, which may be helpful if you are hoping to get connected beyond worship. Traditional worship is the most common style, though contemporary worship is present too.

What stands out in Ravenna is the mix of established congregations and welcoming language around faith, fellowship, and service. First Christian Church is part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), focused on faith, compassion, and service. Portage Community Chapel describes its mission as helping people know, live, and give away the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Several churches speak directly about welcoming visitors, which can make a first visit feel a little easier.
