About St. Thomas More Newman Center
St. Thomas More Catholic Newman Center serves the University of Oregon and neighboring colleges and universities through worship, education, service, fellowship, outreach, and stewardship. Located in the distinctive green and yellow building across from Hayward Field on Emerald Street, the center welcomes students, faculty, staff, permanent community members, and all who share in their mission of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The community offers multiple weekend and weekday masses, including a dedicated student mass on Sunday evenings, along with opportunities for adoration, confession, Bible studies, retreats, and mission trips. With a welcoming atmosphere and active campus ministry, St. Thomas More provides both spiritual nourishment and community engagement for the University of Oregon community and beyond.

Service Format: Weekend masses are offered Saturday at 5:00 PM (vigil), Sunday at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, and Sunday at 6:30 PM (student mass); weekday masses are Monday–Friday at 5:15 PM and Wednesday at 7:00 PM (student mass). Visitor Tips: The church is located at 1850 Emerald Street across from Hayward Field; office hours are Monday–Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and all visitors are welcome to attend mass, adoration, or other community events.
