About St George Antiochian Orthodox
St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, is a welcoming parish of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese dedicated to proclaiming and celebrating the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. Founded in 1920 by Syrian immigrants devoted to the Orthodox faith, the parish has grown to approximately 125 families and completed construction of its current facility in 1950. The church is known for its faithful choir singing in the traditional a cappella style characteristic of Orthodox worship. St. George invites visitors to explore the Orthodox Christian faith and join in worship that celebrates the ancient Christian tradition in the contemporary world. Led by Fr. Jason DelVitto, the parish maintains an active community with groups including a church school, adult education through St. Catherine fellowship, teen SOYO, and various local ministries.
