Saint George Malankara Orthodox Church, located in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, is a vibrant Malankara Orthodox Syrian parish established in November 2013. As the first Malankara Orthodox church in the Philadelphia region, it serves a multicultural community united in Orthodox Christian faith and Indian Orthodox tradition. Under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Fr. Abu Varghese Peter, the parish has grown steadily while maintaining its commitment to apostolic heritage and Christ-centered worship. Dress Code: While there is no formal dress code, parishioners traditionally dress according to Indian custom, with men wearing formal shirts and trousers, and women wearing Sarees and Salwar Kameez. Service Format: Sunday Morning Prayer begins at 8:30 AM followed by Holy Qurbana at 9:30 AM, typically lasting one hour and thirty minutes; services are conducted primarily in Malayalam with one English service monthly. Non-Orthodox visitors are welcome to participate in all parts of the service except Holy Communion, which is reserved for Orthodox Church members. Visitor Tips: The church provides a baby room with a view into the sanctuary and changing tables for families with young children. All visitors are invited to join the community for lunch and social hour in the dining hall following the service.
