Churches in Huntingdon Valley, PA

For a first visit, it’s wise to check directly with the church before Sunday, since few churches share Sunday service times. If you’re bringing children, several congregations mention kids ministry, and a handful also offer youth group or small groups, so families may want to ask what meets during worship and what happens at other times. Traditional worship is the most common style, though contemporary worship is present at least in some places. Gloria Dei Church may appeal to those looking for an inclusive, supportive environment for families and individuals, while First Baptist Church describes a commitment to faith and spiritual growth. Visitors interested in Episcopal worship can look at St John’s Episcopal Chapel, a parish within that tradition.

What stands out is the range of church identities gathered in one place. Some congregations describe themselves around local service and worship, like Huntingdon Valley Presbyterian Church, while others highlight spiritual formation, such as Bryn Athyn Church. The Lord’s New Church adds an international spiritual community shaped by Swedenborg’s teachings and the three Testaments. Overall, many churches seem oriented toward steady worship, family support, and faith development.
