About Church World Service
Church World Service is a transformative humanitarian organization celebrating nearly 80 years of impact in addressing hunger, poverty, displacement, and disaster across the globe. Founded in 1946 in the aftermath of World War II, CWS has welcomed thousands of refugees, supported families facing food insecurity, and advocated for vulnerable populations left behind by systemic inequities. Operating with a vision that everyone deserves food, voice, and a safe place to call home, the organization works through community partnerships and sustainable development initiatives. CWS engages supporters in becoming monthly sustaining partners who help build a world where there is enough for all, demonstrating that collective action creates greater change than individual efforts alone.
