About Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral
Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral is a vibrant Orthodox Christian community in Pittsburgh that has grown significantly in recent years through welcoming new Serbian immigrants and consolidating members from other local Serbian parishes. The cathedral features a striking modernist structure completed in 1981, with a 55-foot-wide nave in traditional cross shape, an 86-foot central dome topped with an 11-foot stainless steel Serbian Orthodox Cross, and beautiful hand-carved iconostasis and icons created by renowned artisans. The parish operates a thriving church school with 65 students in pre-K through 12th grade, maintains an active relief ministry that has supported war orphans and humanitarian causes, and continues to beautify its worship space through ongoing renovations including stunning frescoes completed in 2006. As part of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Eastern America, Holy Trinity welcomes visitors to experience Orthodox liturgical worship and Serbian cultural traditions in a welcoming, historic congregation.
