The Zen Center of Pittsburgh, also known as Deep Spring Temple, is a Soto Zen Buddhist Temple founded in 1999 and led by Abbot Kotoku Crivello. Located on fourteen secluded acres in Sewickley, just thirty minutes north of Pittsburgh, the temple serves both lay practitioners and those pursuing formal priest training. The community gathers for regular zazen (seated meditation) practice, Sunday services, and various retreats and intensives throughout the year. Visitors are welcomed to attend orientation classes held on the third Tuesday of each month, followed by opportunities to participate in the temple's weekly schedule of morning and evening meditation sessions, Sunday liturgy, and online Zoom practice options.
