Churches in Shavertown, PA

If you’re planning a first Sunday visit, mid-morning is the usual rhythm here. Among churches with shared schedules, most begin between 9 and 10 AM, with another starting in the 10 to 11 AM window. That makes it worth checking the church you’re considering before heading out, especially if you’re choosing between traditional and contemporary worship. Families will find kids ministry at most churches, and several congregations also offer youth group and small groups. If feeling at home quickly matters to you, Back Mountain Harvest Assembly specifically emphasizes helping visitors feel they belong from their first visit, while Shavertown United Methodist Church describes itself as welcoming all people.

What stands out is the steady focus on welcome, discipleship, and community. Methodist churches are especially well represented, but the choices are not all the same: Cross Creek Community Church emphasizes loving God and people, Huntsville United Methodist Church focuses on forming disciples of Jesus Christ, and Trucksville United Methodist Church highlights worship, friendship, and community. Families and newcomers have several natural starting points.
