About New Hope
New Hope Church is a Brethren congregation located in State College, Pennsylvania, that has served the Penn State community and Centre region since its founding in 2006 by three families with a vision to share Christ's love. The church gathers for Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m. at the UEC Theater, offering a casual service with contemporary worship and preaching that blends exegetical and topical approaches, with sermons typically running about thirty minutes. New Hope emphasizes a threefold commitment summarized as "Love, Grow, Serve"—rooted in the belief that Jesus' death and resurrection invite people into freedom and new life. The church provides a warm, welcoming environment for children from six months to ten years old, featuring a nursery program designed to be safe, fun, and formative, with music, Bible stories, and age-appropriate activities running throughout the service. Visitors of all backgrounds are invited to experience a community dedicated to loving their neighbors, serving their local area, and helping those in need.
