About Boehms United Methodist Church

Boehm's Chapel is a historic United Methodist Church located in Willow Street, Pennsylvania, built in 1791 as the first Methodist Church in Lancaster County and the fourth oldest Methodist structure in the nation. Situated on land originally purchased by Swiss Mennonites, the chapel has served as a spiritual refuge and community landmark throughout its more than two centuries of existence. As an official heritage landmark of the United Methodist Church, Boehm's Chapel played a significant role in the Second Great Awakening during the early history of the United States.
