About St John Chrysostom Orthodox
St. John Chrysostom Antiochian Orthodox Church is a Pan-Orthodox parish established in York in 1992, welcoming Christians from diverse backgrounds including Middle Eastern, Greek, Slavic, and Western European heritage. The church has grown to serve over one hundred families across south central Pennsylvania communities including York, Lancaster, and Harrisburg. All worship services are celebrated in English, making the ancient traditions of Eastern Christianity accessible to modern congregations. The parish emphasizes both spiritual formation and active community service through numerous ministries including youth groups, Christian education, and outreach programs. Visitors are invited to experience Orthodox worship firsthand and explore the faith through the church's Inquirers Class and welcoming community environment.
