Churches in Johnston, RI

For a first Sunday visit, expect the known service pattern to lean toward mid-morning. Among churches with shared Sunday schedules, most begin between 9 and 10 AM, with another starting between 10 and 11 AM. A few congregations identify their worship style, with traditional worship appearing more often than contemporary worship. If you’re visiting with children or teens, ask ahead about age-specific ministry, since one church mentions kids ministry and one mentions a youth group. Midweek options appear more limited, with a Wednesday gathering noted by one church. Catholic visitors may want to compare St Robert Bellarmine Parish, Our Lady of Grace Church, and Our Lady of Grace Parish, while others may look at Trinity Assembly of God Church, Greater RI Baptist Temple, or Winners Chapel International Rhode Island.

What stands out is how often Johnston churches describe themselves through welcome, faith formation, and community connection. Catholic communities are especially visible, but the city also includes Bible-teaching, Baptist, Assemblies of God, Seventh-day Adventist, and other Christian congregations. Our Lady of Grace Parish highlights authentic encounters with Christ and life-giving fellowship, while Johnston Seventh-day Adventist Church is described as a Christian community where the fruit of the Spirit radiates.
