About Beneficent Congregational Church
Beneficent Congregational Church is one of the oldest churches in Providence and is part of the United Church of Christ through the Southern New England Conference. The church describes its community as multi-racial and queer-friendly, with a history connected to civic life in the city, including being the birthplace of the Providence chapter of the NAACP. Located along the route of Rhode Island’s annual Pride Parade, Beneficent reflects a public commitment to welcome and inclusion. Sunday worship is held at 10:00 AM, and children’s ministry is among its programs.
