About First Unitarian Church of Providence
First Unitarian Church of Providence is a 300-year-old Unitarian Universalist congregation located at the intersection of Benefit Street and Benevolent Street in downtown Providence, near the Brown University campus. Worship takes place in a magnificent 200-year-old Meeting House featuring a historic pipe organ and elegant architecture that seats up to 830 guests. The congregation welcomes visitors of all backgrounds and spiritual practices, offering a community dedicated to love and justice while addressing contemporary issues including racial justice, immigrant rights, and climate change. Children and youth are invited to participate in spiritual pathway programs rooted in love and compassion.
