About The Church of the Redeemer
The Church of the Redeemer has served as a spiritual home for Episcopalians on Providence's Eastside since 1859, rooted in the Mount Hope neighborhood. The parish is committed to inclusion and has a long history of welcoming all people regardless of economic means, supporting women's ordination, embracing LGBTQ members, and engaging in racial reconciliation work. Liturgically, the congregation celebrates traditional Anglican worship with the Eucharist offered at 8 am and 10 am on Sundays, with the 10 am service featuring music and live-streamed on Facebook. A Wednesday evening Eucharist is also available. Beyond worship, the Redeemer shares its buildings with community groups and serves as a neighborhood gathering place and polling location.
