About Holy Spirit Rectory
Holy Spirit Catholic Church serves the Johns Island community with a welcoming, inclusive approach centered on encountering God's love, deepening faith, and serving neighbors. Located on Johns Island in the Diocese of Charleston, the parish emphasizes three core practices: Discovering More through worship and sacraments, Developing More through faith formation at all ages, and Delivering More through service and community engagement. Service Format: Weekend Masses are offered Saturday at 5:30 pm, Sunday at 9:00 am and 11:00 am, and Sunday in Spanish at 1:00 pm; daily Mass is Monday–Friday at 8:30 am and Saturday at 9:00 am. The liturgy follows Catholic tradition with the sacraments central to worship. Visitor Tips: Children are welcome at all Masses, with the 9:00 am Sunday Mass noted as a good fit for families with young children; a Mary Room in the narthex provides space for parents with restless children, books for kids, and a changing table.
