About Majority Baptist Church
Majority Baptist Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina, is a historic and vibrant congregation with roots tracing back to 1902, when a group of families organized the church after migrating from Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. The church has grown spiritually and physically over its more than 120-year history, moving from a small wooden structure to a modern facility completed in 1998. Under the current leadership of Reverend Marcell D. Bush, the church embraces its motto, "A People Growing in Faith Where Everybody is Special," and maintains a strong commitment to discipleship, community service, and ministries for all ages. The congregation is affiliated with the National Baptist Convention, USA Inc., and actively supports educational institutions and community outreach organizations throughout Spartanburg County.
