Beginning with 28 members gathered at the Old Gospel Rescue Mission, the church grew and eventually established its permanent home at 1195 Old Converse Road under the leadership of Rev. Johnnie Bullman, who served for over thirty-one years. Currently pastored by Chuck Thornton since 2006, Peace Church emphasizes exalting the Savior, guiding believers into a closer walk with Christ, and reaching sinners through the gospel message. The congregation offers multiple weekly gatherings including Sunday morning worship from the King James Bible with children and youth classes, Sunday evening small groups for various life stages, and Wednesday evening prayer meetings. Beyond regular services, the church hosts special family worship on the first Sunday of each month and maintains active ministries including a ladies auxiliary, senior ministry, and men's fellowship.
